The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 43 announced that they have endorsed Al Stirpe in the race for the 127th Assembly District.
“We support Assemblyman Stirpe because he’s a champion for working people, and his record in the state Assembly reflects that,” said IBEW 43 Business Manager Don Morgan. “He understands the needs of Central New York’s electrical workers and their families and we look forward to his continued support going forward.”
IBEW Local 43 represents approximately 1,200 workers across Central New York employed in a variety of different jobs in the electrical industry, and is affiliated with the AFL-CIO family of unions.
“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of our local IBEW chapter, which provides thousands of good-paying jobs in Central New York and professional and safe electrical work,” said Stirpe.
This past legislative session, Stirpe helped pass several measures to benefit working families, including creating a living wage and a new paid family leave program.
